Apartamento Magazine is an interiors magazine that’s more about the interior lives of its subjects, and the way those lives express themselves in the spaces, objects, and people they surround themselves with, than any particular arrangement of textiles, furnishings, and objects. This is a window into the homes of the hosts of the coolest dinner party you were never invited to.
A subscription to Apartamento—or a membership, as they’re calling it now—is expensive, but the app is free. Each week it features half a dozen or so stories from the archives, long interviews paired with photos featuring artists, writers, architects, and driven eccentrics of all stripes. Adding a frisson of evanescence, the app counts down the days each story will remain available before it disappears, retreating into the void from which truly original people and stories inevitably spring.
Apartamento Magazine
The Apartamento Magazine iPhone App: Apartamento Magazine bills itself as “an everyday life interiors magazine,” but that tag line seems a bit disingenuous considering the uniformly intriguing images and stories found inside.
